Description

Designed by De Blacam and Meagher Architects, the €7.8m Clifden Community School was built by Galway company JJ Rhatigan.

Loughnanes Joinery supplied all the internal joinery.  The joinery included European Oak Screen, which was designed to bring natural light into the classrooms.  The bespoke fire doors, also in European Oak, was varnished with Danish Oil.

The range of fire doors included FD30/0 (integrity only) FD30/30 (integrity and insulation).  Also FD60/0 and FD60/60 fire doors.

Due to the bespoke design of the fire screen and fire doors, Loughnanes Joinery required a site-specific cert prior to the manufacturing of the fire doors. Site-specific certs are issued by Fire Consultants.
