Description

Set in the heart of Connemara on the west coast of Ireland, Kylemore Abbey is world-renown for its stunning Victorian architecture. Loughnanes Joinery was awarded the project to supply joinery & furniture, by Carey Contractors, for Kylemore Abbey in Connemara, Co. Galway in 2017. A bespoke bar in copper, designed by Axo Architects with a lounge & seating area included ceiling and wall panelling which continued to the library area.

The types of joinery that were produced for this project consisted of:

  • Frames & doors
  • Screens
  • Skirting & architraves
  • Copper cladded bar
  • Library/storage area
  • Vanity units
  • Ceiling & wall panelling

Loughnanes Joinery manufactured bespoke fire screens made from teak. Some of the fire doors were formica FD 30 fire doors and formica FD60 fire doors. In addition, a number of the fire doors were bespoke teak sheeted fire doors.
